Wow!!! It's been so long!!!

Briana Rocks!!!!

Two weeks ago we went to the Highschool where Briana and Heather are attending for a musical performance and awards for the first half of this school year. There was band, choir, awards and some other funny things and of course dessert at the end...

So, here are some pictures from that night and Briana's great performance at the xylophone...

I have to mention that they got maybe 5 diplomas each: for spanish, band, GPA, ...

Katherine and Psalm 23

Katherine has an amazing memory! After maybe a month where Andrew was telling her Psalm 23 every night before bed, she told us: "I do it!" Now she tells it everytime she goes to bed or for a nap and sometimes at the table as a prayer.So, here is Katherine at the table "praying" Psalm 23.

Katherine's Birthday

January 10th was Katherine's birthday and because we had a class activity with our ABF, we had a party for her on Sunday, the day after.

Katherine enjoied beeing in the center of our attention and we were happy of course of that!!!!

We had dinner with Mom and Dad and Heather and Briana and we had Salata de Beouf, chicken soup and mashed potatoes and chicken. It was yummy!!!!

When we were almost done with the dinner, we were online with Romania on Skype with the rest of the family, Bunicu, Bunica, Johnny, Darius, Paula and my Mom's older sister from Italy.

Katherine was telling them many times Happy Birthday Katherine and then she was hiding every time into her high chair beeing shy!!!! She was so funny!!!!

The family from Romania was with us for the cake and the Happy Birthday song sang in Romanian and english and then for the oppening of the presents!!!! They were happy to be with us at this celebration and we were too!!!

Cristi, my brother was here with us this week and we enjoied having him with us because he missed Katherine's 1st b-day beeing in Ireland last year.

Yes, they are here!!!

Yesterday night we had a great snow storm and we even thought that the church will be close and we will just stay in the house for the rest of the day, but no... Andrew's choir practice for 8:45am was still on the schedule and hit the road slow to be on time there.

At church we were talking with Mom and Dad and wondering if Amber and shawn will be on the road with this kind of weather. Thankfully, in Battle Creek the weather was better and since we didn't hear back from them to tell us that they are changing the plans for coming, we were waiting for them wholeheartedly!

And they arrived at 6pm and after many hugs and kisses we had a great dinner together with sarmale and chicken with rice casserole!!!Yummy!!!! And a variety of cookies!

We spent the evening chating, singing and playing with Savannah and after we came home for the night we went back this morning for a griddle-cooked yummy breakfast prepared by our Shawn!!! It was so goooood!!!!

Shawn brought their Wii game so we had some fun with it playing bowling and tennis.

Now we are home for Katherine's nap and we'll be on the road again to have dinner-Chicken Divan- at Jenny's apartment and finishing the night with some caroling with some of our ABF class families. We can't wait!!

Snow...snow... a lot of snow!!!

Well, here in Michigan the last few day were cold and we bearly got out of the house... why? because of the 1 feet snow or more...that we have already and is still coming down!!!

Andrew has been pretty much the only one going outside cleaning the driveway. I never saw so much snow! walls of snow on both sides of our driveway! And as we were talking with my parents in Romania, they do not have snow at all (usually December is white!) and the weather is warmar than usually and even the flowers are blooming!!!!

I just wanted to let you know that Katherine is our next singer in the family! Besides that she can sing some songs only after few times of listening to them,she wants to try something new every time she has the opportunity....
